Care
Cleaning the Visor and Hard Surfaces
To clean the visor and other hard surfaces, use a clean cloth and warm water, Windex, or a gentle cleaner. Avoid using rubbing alcohol, acetone, or isopropyl alcohol, as these can damage the plastic and the visor.
Cleaning the Fur and Foam
For cleaning the fur and foam, treat it similarly to most fursuit heads. Use your preferred fursuit spray for spot cleaning, ensuring ample drying time. Brush the fur once during the drying process and again after it's completely dry. When cleaning the foam inside the head, be cautious not to spray cleaner directly onto the electronics. For detergents and softeners, we recommend against using these, and using gentle cleaners like Windex instead.
Electronics Care
Never submerge or spray the electronics with water or other liquids as they are not waterproof and can be damaged. To clean the front face of the lights, lightly spray Windex or another glass cleaner onto a microfiber cloth and gently wipe the surface. Allow sufficient drying time before plugging the head into its battery. In the event of an electrical fire, do not use water! Use a fire extinguisher.
Storage Guidelines
Protogen heads are sensitive to moisture and heat. Always store the head in a cool, dry place, ideally below 85°F (30°C) and away from high humidity. Ensure the battery is unplugged before storage and store the head upright to avoid damaging the ears.
